You will leave from Tamarindo to a nesting beach selected according to the natural activity of that night. Accompanied by a guide, you’ll walk trails and the beach as you learn about their life cycle, behavior and conservation. When conditions permit, you can witness the incredible nesting process, from nest preparation and egg deposit to the turtle’s return to the ocean. Depending on the season, there is also the possibility to observe different species or small turtles on the way to the sea. About Tamarindo
Tamarindo is a surf town on Costa Rica's Guanacaste coast, with a wide sandy bay, an estuary and a strip of beach bars looking west to the sunset.
Tamarindo grew from a fishing village into the main beach town of Guanacaste, with its beach, shops and restaurants strung along one main road. The bay has gentle waves for beginners, and surf schools line the sand, while more powerful breaks lie a short drive along the coast. The estuary at the northern end shelters mangroves where herons and the occasional crocodile are seen from kayaks.
