Kawaii Sushi Making Class With a Local Chef in Calgary

Bring your imagination to the table and make sushi that's almost too cute to eat. This relaxed, hands-on cooking class teaches you how to create two playful Japanese favorites: character onigiri and character sushi. You'll begin by preparing and shaping seasoned rice, then use nori and colorful ingredients to craft charming faces and creative designs. After that, you'll roll, shape and decorate sushi while picking up practical skills like sushi rice preparation, rolling techniques, knife work and thoughtful presentation. The atmosphere stays lighthearted and welcoming, so every step feels approachable whether you're making sushi for the first time or looking for fresh inspiration. By the time you're finished, you'll have a plate full of colorful creations, plenty of new kitchen skills and a strong case for making lunch a little more entertaining.
