1. Our experienced guides will meet you outside our offices located in Storgata 77, Tromsø at exactly 12:00; from here they will take you on a 20 minutes guided walk along the pier. After this short walk the group arrives at the unique Polarmuseet and Skansen area. The tour continues with a 20 minutes guided walk along Storgata (the pedestrian street), the Market Place, the Catholic and Protestant Cathedrals, and the Mack Brewery. After this second city walk the group will arrive at the Polstjerna; one of the last vessels hunting seals in the Arctic Ocean until the year 1981. At around 14:00 our tour finishes and you can choose whether to enter the Polaria aquarium which is right next to the vessel (entrance not included), or you can walk back to the center.

About Tromsø

Tromsø is a Norwegian city well inside the Arctic Circle, on an island among fjords and peaks, known for the northern lights and the midnight sun.

Tromsø stands on an island in northern Norway, linked to the mainland by a bridge and a tunnel, with jagged peaks rising across the sound. Founded in the eighteenth century, it grew as a base for Arctic hunters and explorers, and the Polar Museum recalls expeditions that set out from the harbour. The Arctic Cathedral, with its angled glass front, stands across the bridge, and wooden houses fill the old centre.
