We will start with a photo session from the best angles of the mayan pyramid without people. Then we'll unveil the importance and history of this ancient city, 2 hours and a half to discover the city with free time included. Afterwards we will go to a beautiful cenote that belongs to a mayan community, the cenote has not been modify as many others, so is very natural and amazing to swimm. The community have a restaurant and the menu is all about Yucatan cuisine, another 2 hours to enjoy and eat as well. Then we'll hit the road again towards Merida, drive of one hour average to Merida. About Mérida
Mérida, capital of Yucatán, is a Spanish colonial city of grand boulevards and mansions, a base for Maya ruins, cenotes and flamingo lagoons.
Francisco de Montejo the Younger founded Mérida in 1542 on the site of a Maya town, and stone from its temples went into the cathedral and houses. The Plaza Grande is the heart of the city, with the cathedral of San Ildefonso, the Governor's Palace, whose walls are covered by murals of Maya history, and the Casa de Montejo, with an ornate carved façade. The low colonial houses of the centre gave the city its nickname, the White City.
