Pass through the city center and a roundabout resembles like a “Matka” or clay pot, a major junction which was conceptualized by the renowned architect Le Corbusier. 4. Visit the Rose Garden - largest garden of its kind in Asia showcases around 825 varieties of flowers and 32,500 varieties of trees and medicinal shrubs.

About Chandigarh
Chandigarh is a planned city below the Shivalik hills, laid out by Le Corbusier, with a World Heritage capitol complex and a garden of found art.
Chandigarh was planned in the 1950s as the capital of Punjab after Partition, and it is also the capital of Haryana. The Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier shaped the grid of numbered sectors, with wide tree-lined avenues, and designed the Capitol Complex, whose assembly building, high court and Open Hand monument are part of a UNESCO World Heritage listing. Its concrete buildings are a landmark of mid-century modernism.
