1. Meet your female guide here before the walk. Arrive a few minutes early — the bakery serves good coffee and breakfast if you want to settle in before setting off.

2. Walk through Thamel's main streets and lanes with your female guide. The walk covers four areas: how the neighborhood is laid out and how to move around confidently on your own; where to shop for trekking gear and souvenirs without getting overcharged and which shops to skip; where locals and experienced travelers actually eat and drink, from dal bhat to rooftop restaurants; and practical advice on trekking preparation, yoga studios and cooking classes. This is a conversational walk — ask your guide anything throughout.

3. The walk ends at the gates of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Entry is optional and independent, not guided. On the 5PM tour entry is often free after 5PM if you want to explore on your own.
