  3. Black Tusk stands out prominently with its dramatic, jagged silhouette. The peak is characterized by its dark, almost black, volcanic rock, which contrasts starkly with the surrounding landscape. About Whistler

Whistler, in the coastal mountains of British Columbia, is a ski and mountain-bike resort village between two big peaks, Whistler and Blackcomb.

Whistler sits in a valley of the Coast Mountains, about two hours' drive up the Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver, with a pedestrian village at the base of two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb. The Peak 2 Peak gondola links the two mountains across a deep valley. The resort hosted the alpine events of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the resort takes its name from the whistling calls of the marmots on the slopes.
