Ablauf

1. Starting point of our tour. In the morning we will pick up our travelers, who will enjoy a pleasant trip to Bacalar. We will make a short stop at a shop before leaving Merida, where you can buy water and snacks for the road. Afterwards, we will go to the Mercaco de José María Morelos where you can have breakfast at the different food stalls, use the bathrooms or relax your legs. The journey to Bacalar takes approximately 5 hours + 45 minutes of food.

2. Once you arrive in Bacalar, you will take a small boat for a guided excursion through the lagoon. You can swim in the crystal clear waters, enjoy and know about the history of this place on a 2-hour tour of this beautiful place. Visitaras : El cenote Esmeralda, Cenote Negro, Cenote Cocalitos and Isla Pajaros.

3. After the boat tour, we will head to La Playita restaurant, located in front of the lagoon, where you can choose from a variety of options and have more free time to swim in the lagoon. Food is not included in the tour.

4. Enjoy the deepest cenote in Mexico. El Cenote Azul is a natural wonder of approximately 200 meters and a depth of 90 meters where you can swim and relax. Doesn't include lifeguard.

About Mérida

Mérida, capital of Yucatán, is a Spanish colonial city of grand boulevards and mansions, a base for Maya ruins, cenotes and flamingo lagoons.

Francisco de Montejo the Younger founded Mérida in 1542 on the site of a Maya town, and stone from its temples went into the cathedral and houses. The Plaza Grande is the heart of the city, with the cathedral of San Ildefonso, the Governor's Palace, whose walls are covered by murals of Maya history, and the Casa de Montejo, with an ornate carved façade. The low colonial houses of the centre gave the city its nickname, the White City.
