Tromsø: Learn to Ski - Developed With Local Olympic Champion

Your journey begins at Tromsø Skistadion, where your guide welcomes you and provides skis, poles, and boots. After a quick fitting, you’ll start with an easy and supportive introduction to cross-country skiing. The lesson is developed with Olympic champion and co-owner Erik Valnes, giving beginners clear, simple exercises that help you find balance and confidence right from the start. When you’re ready, you’ll glide into the calm Arctic landscape surrounding Tromsø. The pace is gentle and suitable for all, with plenty of time for photos and to enjoy the winter scenery. Along the way, your guide shares engaging stories about Norway’s skiing culture—how it shaped Viking travel, Sami traditions, and daily life in the north. Halfway through, you’ll stop for a warm drink and a Norwegian snack before continuing your journey feeling more secure on the skis. The experience ends back at the starting point, leaving you with new skills and a deeper appreciation for Norway’s connection to skiing.

Treffpunkt

Please meet us at our grey van with the SkiTromsø logo, parked in the lot between the small dark-red house and the large red sports hall (Tromsøhallen). The van will be clearly visible and your guide will greet you there. There is parking right next to the van aswell.
