Kapstadt breitet sich zwischen Tafelberg und Meer aus: Strände, Weinberge, Pinguine und Geschichte nahe der Südwestspitze Afrikas.
Der flache Gipfel des Tafelbergs überragt alles und ist per Seilbahn oder auf Wanderwegen erreichbar, flankiert von Lion's Head und Signal Hill. Darunter herrscht an der V&A Waterfront Betrieb rund um den Arbeitshafen, und von dort fahren Boote nach Robben Island, wo Nelson Mandela achtzehn Jahre lang inhaftiert war. Die bunten Häuser des Bo-Kaap ziehen sich die Hänge oberhalb des Stadtzentrums und des Company's Garden hinauf.
