About Side
Side is a small Turkish Mediterranean resort on an ancient peninsula, with Roman and Greek temples, a theatre and golden beaches on both sides.
Side was an important port of ancient Pamphylia, and its ruins stand on a small peninsula where the town and harbour now are. The Roman theatre, one of the largest in the region, rises behind the town, and the Temples of Apollo and Athena, with their columns, stand on the seafront.
