The famous Kachikachi Mountain Ropeway at Lake Kawaguchiko offers stunning panoramic views of Mount Fuji and the lake below. Travelers usually ride the cable car to the summit to enjoy observation decks, scenic photo spots, short walking trails, and seasonal views of cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, or snow-covered landscapes. The area is especially popular for its peaceful atmosphere and iconic Fuji scenery. The ropeway is temporarily closed for maintenance from May 11, 2026, to July 15, 2026. Tenjo-go Sengoku Warlord Atmosphere Boat (to be visited when Lake Kawaguchiko Kachikachi-yama Ropeway is suspended)
Travelers joining the Kawaguchiko Matcha Experience will learn the traditional art of Japanese matcha tea making while enjoying beautiful views near Mount Fuji. Visitors can whisk their own fresh matcha, taste authentic Japanese sweets, and experience local tea culture in a calm traditional setting. Many experiences also include opportunities to wear kimono, take photos with Fuji scenery, and explore nearby streets, shrines, or lakeside areas around Kawaguchiko.
Oishi Park is one of the most scenic spots around Lake Kawaguchiko, where travelers can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Fuji reflected across the lake. Visitors stroll along flower-lined paths filled with seasonal blooms such as lavender, kochia, tulips, and autumn foliage, making it a favorite photography location throughout the year. The park also features lakeside walking areas, cafés, local souvenir shops, and the Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center, where travelers can relax with snacks and Fuji views in a peaceful atmosphere.
The famous Lawson convenience store in Fujikawaguchiko has become one of the most photographed spots near Mount Fuji because of its stunning view of the mountain rising directly behind the store. Travelers usually stop here to take iconic photos of Mount Fuji framed above the bright blue Lawson sign, especially during sunrise or on clear days when the mountain is fully visible. Besides being a photo hotspot, visitors can also grab Japanese snacks, drinks, desserts, and quick meals inside the convenience store while enjoying the lively atmosphere of the surrounding Kawaguchiko area.
Oshino Hakkai is a peaceful traditional village famous for its eight crystal-clear ponds fed by melted snow from Mount Fuji. Travelers can walk along scenic paths surrounded by wooden bridges, thatched-roof houses, and beautiful Fuji views while exploring local shops, street food stalls, and small museums. About Tokio
Top-ranked sights in Tokio: Senso-ji Temple (Asakusa Temple), Tokyo Imperial Palace, Meiji Shrine (Meiji Jingu).
