Really nice tour showing the headlights of Lèon. Ended with a beautiful sunset from the top of the cathedral. Warm recommendations having Franklin as a guide.

We had an interesting and informative tour of the city, culminating in an absolutely spectacular view of the city at sunset on the rooftop of the cathedral.
5Great experience of Léon
It was a great walk with very interesting facts and stories about León. Our guide transitioned flawlessly from the Spanish conquest to the revolution, and discussed the customs and habits of this town. Without that, it would have been difficult to understand why León is the way it is.

Amazing walking tour! Our guide was extremely patient with us on a very hot day. He took us to amazing places and gave us a lot of great history. He knew the best places for photo ops at the cathedral. Totally recommended if you have the time in León!
5EXCELLENT and informative tour.
We had an AMAZING private walking tour with Franklin. He is so knowledgeable, full of information and he makes the history of Leon interesting. He took us all around the city, pointed out all the important and fascinating facts about Leon and made the city come alive. In the tour was also included a smoothie which was delicious ! He took us up to the roof the cathedral and we took some beautiful photos up top. I would highly recommend this tour if you're into history and you want someone who can make you truly appreciate what the city has gone through. The tour was about 3 hours and it was the perfect length.

About León
León is a colonial university city in north-west Nicaragua, with a vast whitewashed cathedral, rooftop views and a ring of volcanoes.
León lies in the Pacific lowlands of Nicaragua, about ninety kilometres north-west of Managua, with a chain of volcanoes on its horizon. The cathedral, one of the largest in Central America, is a World Heritage site; its white roof can be climbed for views, and the poet Rubén Darío, Nicaragua's great literary figure, is buried inside, guarded by a stone lion. Colonial streets of low, colourful houses, with courtyards and churches, spread around the plaza.
