The 31 room mansion includes 9 marble fireplaces, spectacular painted ceilings, flushing toilets, a built-in 6,000 gallon water tank, and a 48,000 gallon wine cellar. This mansion is one of the best examples of Second Empire style architecture in the United States. It was rescued from demolition in 1983 and has been restored to provide tours to the public. About Kansas City

Kansas City is a Missouri River city with jazz roots, famous barbecue, more than 200 fountains and major museums.

Kansas City sits where the Kansas River meets the Missouri River on the border of Missouri and Kansas, and the main city lies on the Missouri side. It is known as the City of Fountains, and fountains of every size stand in its parks and plazas. Country Club Plaza, a district of Spanish-style buildings with fountains and tiled towers, was among the first planned shopping areas in the country. Union Station, a railway hall of 1914, anchors the old centre.
