With a group of no more than 9, you embark on a personalized journey into the world of wine, traveling back in time to the 13th century. Learn about the origins of chianti, the region's most internationally renowned wine, and the strict rules that must be followed for it to retain its name. Begin with the dry and crisp Vernaccia white wine, and then move on to bolder reds. Swirl, sniff, and sip floral Chianti, jammy Montepulciano, the famous Brunello di Montalcino and Super Tuscan red—a modern take on traditional chianti. Along the way, your host shares tips for pairing each of these wines with food, leaving you able to drink wine like a pro by the end of class.
