Introductory Kayak Lesson on Toronto Islands

Toronto Island is the only island chain in Western Lake Ontario. It has a diverse collection of plants and wildlife, and holds deep history dating back to the first native American people. Toronto Islands are a perfect nature escape from the busy city while having the best view of the city skyline. Did you know the location for Toronto, then called York, was chosen due to the prime natural harbour created by the Toronto Island, then a peninsula? Wards and Algonquin Island are some of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city and some of their ancestors are still here today.

Step 1: Take the Wards Island Ferry from the Toronto Island Ferry Terminal (Jack Layton Ferry Terminal). Step 2: Walk west on the main road for about 5-7 minutes and meet at our location, just past the Riviera Restaurant. You'll see Toronto Island SUP on your right.
