Highlights
The tour begins in a producer of wine and pisco, products that have made the valleys of the Ica desert famous. Then, we will visit the Regional Museum of Ica where we will appreciate the evolution of the five most representative cultures of the region such as Paracas, Nazca, Wari, Ica Chincha and Inca. Thereafter is a visit to the sanctuary of the Lord of Luren, a dark-skinned saint from Ica, whose carvedimage was made in Spain in the year 1556. On the third Monday of October each year the image is taken from the church and carried through the streets of Ica accompanied by hundreds of devotees. Finally, you will visit Lake Huacachina. Originally an oasis in the middle of the desert, the lake is one of Ica´s major attractions. It is surrounded by large sand dunes and offers a variety of optional services: from good food to an adrenalin-stimulating sand buggy ride through the desert.

Since 1856 they have been making one of the most celebrated, award-winning and distinguished Piscos in Peru. Thanks to the selection of pisco grapes, their piscos are made with the purest quality.
The museum was created on March 30, 1946 and has two exhibition rooms: The archeology room that displays goods from the Paracas, Nasca, Wari and Inca cultures; and that of Bioanthropology that exposes funeral customs, cranial deformations, trephinations, trophy heads and human remains with paleopathologies.

Ica is a desert city on Peru's south coast, known for its vineyards and pisco, the nearby oasis of Huacachina and the Nazca Lines to the south.
Ica lies in a dry river valley on Peru's southern coast, a green strip of vineyards, cotton fields and orchards between the Pacific and the Andean foothills. The Ica Regional Museum holds mummies, textiles and trophy heads from the Paracas, Nazca and Inca cultures, and the colonial centre has a plaza with a cathedral. The region is one of Peru's centres of pisco, the grape brandy, and many bodegas on the roads around town make it.
