Gobustan is a fascinating State reserve, located about 40 miles ( 64 km) away from the centre of Baku. The place is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit here Gobustan 3D Interactive Museum and Gobustan Outdoor Museum ( petroglyphs)

Semyonov an engineer Alekseev drilled a 21 m deep well using a primitive percussion drilling mechanism, in Bibiheybət to explore for oil, with positive results. More than a decade later, on August 27, 1859, "Colonel" Edwin L. Drake struck oil on American soil for the first time.
The Ateshgah of Baku, often called the "Fire Temple of Baku", is a castle-like religious temple in Surakhany town a suburb in Baku, Azerbaijan. Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu, Sikh, and Zoroastrian place of worship.
Yanardagh (Burning mountain) is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan (a country which itself is known as "the Land of Fire").
