Highlights
This is the perfect tour for travelers interested in learning about the history of Gdansk—especially during World War II. Gdansk is the place where the Second World War began and hence continued to spread throughout the continent of Europe and the world known to us. Although the city itself did not suffer from military operations at the beginning, 1945 brought a tragic finale to Gdansk. Experience an amazing journey with us through the history of Gdansk and Poland at the same time. From the Free City of Gdansk to the attack of the Red Army. Learn stories about the city that you likely wouldn’t find out about otherwise, and visit off-the-beaten-track locations to learn about the impact of World War II. Hear stories about the heroic defenders of Gdansk during World War II.

About Gdańsk
Gdańsk is a Baltic port in northern Poland with a rebuilt Hanseatic old town, amber shops, a medieval crane and the shipyard where Solidarity began.
Gdańsk grew rich on the Baltic grain and timber trade, and its Main Town was rebuilt after the damage of the Second World War in the style of earlier centuries. The Long Market is the centre, with Neptune's Fountain and the Artus Court, and the gates at either end open onto the Motława River. St Mary's Church, one of the largest brick churches in the world, rises above the narrow houses.
Top-ranked sights in Gdańsk: St. Mary’s Church, Gdansk Old Town (Gdańsk Stare Miasto), Museum of the Second World War.
