- The meeting point is within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels. Look for our staff on the pier, yellow jackets, carrying our company logo. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please note that "gate" means "street" in Norwegian.

About Ålesund
Ålesund is a harbour town on Norway's west coast, rebuilt in Art Nouveau style after a fire, with fjords and bird islands within reach.
Ålesund lies on a cluster of islands where the Norwegian Sea meets the Sunnmøre Alps, in Møre og Romsdal. A fire in 1904 destroyed most of the town, and it was rebuilt within a few years in Art Nouveau style, with turrets, spires and ornament in stone along the harbour canal. The Art Nouveau Centre tells the story, and the 418 steps up Aksla hill lead to a viewpoint over islands and peaks.
