• 5Wonderful Excursion to Pisa and Lerici – Highly Recommended!

  We booked an excursion with Tantitours from the port of La Spezia during our cruise on MSC Grandiosa (22.09.26) , and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! Everything was very well organised, and the comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles made the journey pleasant and relaxing. A special thank you to our fantastic guide, Gianni, who truly made the day unforgettable! He is charming, charismatic, full of positive energy and has a wonderful sense of humour. His passion for Italy shines through in the way he shares its history, making everything interesting, engaging and easy to understand. He doesn't simply tell you facts — he brings the places to life and makes you feel connected to their history and atmosphere. Thank you, Gianni, for your enthusiasm and for making the excursion such a pleasure! Pisa was wonderful, but Lerici was a delightful surprise and one of the highlights of our day. Such a beautiful, charming place that captured my heart! A big thank you to the whole Tantitours team for the excellent organisation and for giving us such lovely memories of Italy. I wholeheartedly recommend Tantitours to anyone visiting La Spezia on a cruise. • 4Amazing Pisa Tour – Great Value and a Wonderful Guide! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  When you get off the ship at the port, you’ll find several options for organized bus tours. My recommendation is to choose the one that best suits your needs. For example, there are tours that include Florence followed by a short stop in Pisa for around €110 per person. We chose the Tantitours tour, which cost €40 per person, and in my opinion, it gave us the ultimate experience of the Pisa Tower area! First of all, I have to mention our guide, Giulia, who was lovely, kind, patient, and very professional. There was one family in our group who were quite difficult and unpleasant, but she handled the situation with so much patience and grace. The whole tour was very well organized. The bus ride was smooth, comfortable, and air-conditioned, and once we arrived in Pisa, we had plenty of time to take photos without rushing, enjoy the nearby shops and market, and explore the area at our own pace. I especially recommend not missing a visit — and maybe even doing a little shopping 😉 — at the wonderful, high-quality G. BARSANTI E FIGLI store. Overall, I highly recommend both the tour itself and our wonderful guide, Giulia! Enjoy your trip, and don’t forget your sunscreen because it gets VERY hot! 😄☀️

  Great great day!! Our tour guide Julia was excellent. Young energic and very knowledgeable. Bus was clean cool and comfortable. No bathroom just so you are aware. Pisa and Lerici were so worth it. Ate at super cute and delicious food el tiscano just past the leaning tower.

  The bus was very comfortable and the drive to Pisa went very smoothly. Giulia was very friendly and had a lot of information. Once we got to the Leaning Tower and Miracle square, it was incredible. We loved the little stop at Lerica on the way back, such a cool little town I'd love to visit again when I could spend more time.

About La Spezia

La Spezia is a Ligurian port on the Gulf of Poets, with a naval harbour, museums and the main rail gateway to the Cinque Terre villages and Portovenere.

La Spezia lies at the head of a deep gulf on the Ligurian coast, ringed by hills of olive groves and sheltered by a long breakwater. It is an important naval base as well as a commercial port, and a seafront promenade, Passeggiata Morin, runs beside the harbour. The Amedeo Lia Museum holds paintings and medieval works, and the Castello di San Giorgio on a hill above keeps finds from the area.
