See monkeys and walk a pathway in a mangrove forest! Jozani is the only National Park in Unguja Island. Home to red cobolus monkeys, endemic to Zanzibar.
Jozani Forest is the largest area of indigenous forest on Zanzibar. During a guided journey through the forest you will learn the different species of monkeys unique to Zanzibar. Troops of Zanzibar Red Colobus monkeys can be found scrambling from branch to branch in search of food. The monkeys have become acclimatised to people and allow you to get close enough to capture them in photographs as they eat, play and jump from the treetops. After visiting the red colobus, you will walk across to the Pete-Jozani Mangrove Boardwalk. It entwines through coral thicket vegetation, mangrove forest and across a creek. You walk through mangrove forest which is extremely crucial to Zanzibar’s ecosystems, providing a habitat for many lizards, snakes and birdlife as well as preventing the coastal erosion.

Kizimkazi is a fishing village at the southern end of Zanzibar, with dolphin bays and a mosque bearing one of East Africa's oldest dated inscriptions.
Kizimkazi lies on the south-west coast of Unguja, Zanzibar's main island, in two small villages, Dimbani and Mkunguni, on a coast of coral rock, small coves and clear shallow water. Fishermen launch wooden boats from the beach, and a small mosque at Dimbani has a stone with an Arabic inscription dated to the year 1107, among the oldest on the East African coast.
