The time to go up and down from the town of Aguas Calientes to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu is 30 minutes each way.
The journey from Cusco to the Ollantaytambo train station is approximately 2 hours and vice versa. While the train journey from Ollanyatambo to the town of Aguas Calientes is 1 hour and a half.
