While tasting, I explain the ageing process, the differences between styles, and the story of this family-owned estate that has been producing wine for generations — all enjoyed with breathtaking views over the Douro River and its terraced vineyards.

3. Lunch is served at the traditional Adega Popular, a welcoming local restaurant in the heart of Peso da Régua. Here we enjoy authentic regional cuisine, with homemade dishes prepared according to traditional Douro recipes. The menu often features local specialties such as grilled meats, codfish, or seasonal regional dishes, always accompanied by quality local wine from the Douro region. The atmosphere is relaxed and genuine, popular among locals, which makes the experience even more authentic.
