Puerto Varas is a lakeside town in southern Chile, set on Lake Llanquihue beneath the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes with a German-settler stamp.

Puerto Varas sits on the shore of Lake Llanquihue, one of Chile's largest lakes, with the snow-capped cone of Osorno volcano standing across the water and the jagged Calbuco close by.
