行程
After picking up the guests, we move to the beaches where our company is authorized to conduct the tour. Upon arrival, two patrols (guides) begin the search for the turtle. Once they locate the animal, they communicate its position to the driver, who in turn leads the customers to the observation point. During the activity, the guests will be able to follow the whole process: the desove, the closure of the nest, the camouflage – made by the turtle to hinder the action of predators – and, finally, the turtle’s return to the sea, its natural habitat. We use appropriate equipment, such as camping lights, walkie-talkie radios and night vision binoculars, ensuring safety and minimal disturbance to the environment. Recommendations to Customers: wear dark clothes; Keep your phone silent or vibrant; Do not use white light (lamps, flashes, etc.); not to be under the effect of alcohol; Strictly follow all guides guidelines.

About Santa Maria
Santa Maria, on the southern tip of Sal in Cape Verde, is a beach town of pale sand, steady Atlantic wind and a fishing pier.
Santa Maria occupies the southern tip of Sal, a flat, dry island in the Cape Verde archipelago off the coast of West Africa. Sal means salt in Portuguese, a nod to the salt pans once worked here for export. The sandy streets of Santa Maria, lined with pastel houses, lead down to a long beach and a pier where local fishermen sell their catch.
