行程
Discover the main masterpieces of the Louvre Museum and its history. Did you know that the Louvre was a fortress before being a museum? Your professional licensed guide will take you to the oldest room in the Museum. It is almost 800 years old. You will have the feeling to be back in medieval times. You will discover the great sphinx of Tanis, an opportunity to mention the strong links between Egypt and Paris. Then you will visit the department of Greek antiquities. It is one of the richest in the museum. You will see among others: the Venus de Milo and the Victory of Samothrace. Your guide will tell you some stories from mythology in the beautiful Caryatides room (old ballroom of the castle). In the Italian gallery (800 meter long) you will admire the masterpieces of the Italian masters: Mantegna, Raphael, Caravaggio, Veronese ... Of course you will also see the Mona Lisa by Leonard. In the French department, you will see large paintings such as the "Sacre de Napoleon" or "La Mort de Sardanapale". They are bigger than many appartments in Paris... The tour will also include the impressive sculptures of Mesopotamia such as the Khorsabad Bulls or the Hammurabi code. The Dutch department with its Rubens, Vermeer and Rembrandt is less crowded and quite exceptional also. You understand that your visit will be particularly rich and will include the main treasures of the Museum. During this private tour, you will be able to ask everything you wanted to know about the Louvre to your expert guide.

About Paris
Paris pairs grand boulevards and riverside monuments with café terraces, art collections of global stature and neighbourhoods that feel like villages.
The Seine runs through the heart of the city, past the Île de la Cité with Notre-Dame and the Sainte-Chapelle, the long façade of the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay in its former railway station. Downriver, the Eiffel Tower rises over the Champ de Mars, and the Arc de Triomphe crowns the Champs-Élysées.
Top-ranked sights in Paris: Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower, 4th Arrondissement.
