South of Ibra stretch the magnificent Wahiba Sands (Ramlat al Wahiba; also known as the Sharqiya Sands) – “a perfect specimen of sand sea”, as they have been described. This is the desert as you’ve always imagined it. A huge, virtually uninhabited swathe of sand, with towering dunes, reaching almost 100m in places, sculpted by the wind into delicately moulded crests and hollows.
Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the best-known wadis in the Sultanate of Oman. Its stream maintains a constant flow of water throughout the year. Large pools of water and boulders are scattered along the course of the wadi

5Wadi Bani Khalid
We had an amazing experience as a family on this tour! From exploring Wadi Bani Khalid to the thrilling dune bashing and enjoying delicious traditional food, everything was perfectly organized. A special thanks to our host, Ghusun, who truly went above and beyond to make sure the entire experience was family-friendly. Traveling with a 6-year-old can sometimes be challenging, but he made sure our child was comfortable, safe, and included every step of the way. Highly recommend this tour for families looking for a memorable and well-cared-for adventure!

Tahar was our tour guide for 2 days he was amazing to be with. He gave us a lot of information on all the places he took us to also he very easy to get along with. Made our trip a very memorable one. Would recommend him to anyone that wants to have a great time.

We had a wonderful day with Yaqoob. He was the most accommodating, polite and knowledgeable, we learnt a lot about Oman and its history and culture from him.
