We want to take you to participate in a Mendoza experience guided by Mendoza residents. We will start with the San Martín Park, a great work from the beginning of the 20th century, made possible thanks to the irrigation of the province. The use of canals and exploitation of meltwater. We will continue on our way, following the Mendoza River and its slopes to its main source, Lake Potrerillos. We will visit the Cipolletti dam, Cacheuta and finally the lake. We will visit one of the largest parks in South America, characteristic of its type in an arid environment such as the city of Mendoza.
We will understand the relevance of the crossing of the Andes by General San Martín, liberator of Argentina, Chile and Peru.
One of the most important points to understand where the water we use in Mendoza comes from.
We will visit Cacheuta, its famous suspension bridge and stores selling regional products and crafts. Condor sightings are usually done in this area.
We will visit one of the most emblematic places for the people of Mendoza. Characteristic for its landscapes, the lake and the mountains.
We will do a trek, short or long, depending on the tastes of each person, lasting between 1 to 3 hours. We will appreciate the views, we will recognize the fauna and flora. Then return and recharge your batteries with some hot coffee or something cool.
We will visit Blanco Encalada, a small town located between mountains. There you can try local snacks and have spectacular views of the mountains.

About Mendoza
Mendoza is a wine city of tree-lined avenues and irrigation channels on a dry plain, with the high Andes rising to the west.
Mendoza was largely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1861, which is why its streets are wide and its squares open. Plane trees shade the pavements, watered by old irrigation channels called acequias. Plaza Independencia sits at the centre with four smaller squares around it, and the great Parque General San Martín climbs to the Cerro de la Gloria, a monument with a view over the city.
