5Cape Breton and it's beauty.
Our guide, Misty, was very personable and informative. We learned more about the area than we ever expected. The views were beautiful and she made a reservation (for 10) at a great restaurant where we ate fresh seafood. It was a wonderful day.
3Beautiful at the end
For much of the drive we could not see the coastline. 3 or 4 bathroom stops. About 4 stops with a view, one of which had a short walk might have been better if fall colors were at their peak.
5Beautiful Drive in a Small Van
Our guide was really nice and lived in the area so he was able to give us a really detailed description of it and of life there.

Exceptional tour with an extremely knowledgeable person. The scenery was awesome. On time and willing to adjust trip to fit our needs. This was actually my favorite excursion of the 10 we did on this cruise.

Brian was a wealth of knowledge of the island and its history. It was a long and busy tour and his expertise and stories made the miles fly by. I really feel like I got a deep look at the island in a relatively short time. Definitely recommend!

Cape Breton Island, the northern part of Nova Scotia, is a rugged island of highlands, ocean cliffs and lakes, with strong Gaelic and Acadian roots.
Cape Breton Island forms the north-eastern part of Nova Scotia, joined to the mainland by the Canso Causeway. At its centre lies Bras d'Or Lake, a large inland sea of sheltered coves, and its northern plateau is protected as Cape Breton Highlands National Park, where the Cabot Trail loops along cliffs and over mountains above the Gulf of St Lawrence and the Atlantic.
