On this day tour we go to the mountains! Monchique is right up there. With evergreen vegetation, it allows us to have fantastic views. The first stop is at Caldas de Monchique, a 16th century SPA Resort. Let’s explore the ancient gardens that look like they came out of a fairy tale and drink the famous alkaline water! The small town of Monchique is quite warm and we can walk in its small streets. After that we go to Fóia, the highest point in the Algarve and one of the largest in Portugal. About Lagos

Lagos is a walled Algarve port with golden sea cliffs, sheltered coves, a gilded baroque church and a history of Portuguese navigators.

Lagos lies on the western Algarve coast, where the River Bensafrim meets the Atlantic. Its old town is enclosed by 16th-century walls and has narrow lanes, whitewashed houses and the small Santo António church, whose interior is a mass of gilded baroque carving. Explorers sailed from the harbour in the 15th century in the age of Henry the Navigator, and a statue of the prince stands in the square. The former Slave Market recalls a dark chapter of the Age of Discovery.
