This Budapest Evening stroll starts in the early evening and lasts for 1-1,5 hours which is perfect, because you still have time afterwards to have dinner or go out to explore the nightlife of Budapest. Also, this tour is ideal for those who cannot take longer walks because of health or any other issues, the pace and the route is easy. It starts and ends on the Pest side of the city, takes you from Elisabeth square through the downtown and the famous shopping street, the Váci street to the Great Market hall on Fővám square If you find that you still have some energy left at the end, it’s recommended to cross the Liberty bridge and walk up to the top of the Gellért hill (takes about 15-20 minutes) and admire the view of the beautiful, lit up city. You can learn about some of the Hungarian and Budapest’s history, culture, cuisine and nightlife during this useful, compact walk.

Our licensed local tour guide will meet you in about 20 meters from Budapest Eye and explain you what you will be see and hear during the tour.
You will have several stops in the downtown including Vaci utca ( the shopping street since time immemorial and by the turning of the century the Bond street of Budapest. Gerbeaud Café ( the 150 years old pastry shop) several Art Nouveua and Modern buildings, the first McDonalds in town, few hundred years old residential buildings and much more.
We walk along the Danube Promenade where you will see lots of urban art statues, the Municipal Concert Hall and will see the picturesque panorama of the Buda Castle Hill and Gellert Hill. You will also learn about the Hungarian history and heroes in brief.
We show you the Grand Central Market and speak about the major flea, festive and farmers's market in the city, teach you how to bargain, and what to take home as souvenirs from Hungary.
We stop at Liberty Bridge topped by Turul birds and show you the Romantic Gellert Thermal Bath, the Cave Church and Monastery, the biggest bottle opener in town called Liberty Statue, some recent urban art hidden on the bridge and much more.

About Budapest
Budapest joins hilly Buda and flat Pest across the Danube, a grand capital of thermal baths, riverside palaces and lively ruin bars.
On the Buda side, Castle Hill holds Buda Castle, the Matthias Church and the white turrets of Fishermen's Bastion, all looking down on the river. The Chain Bridge crosses to Pest, where the Hungarian Parliament Building stretches along the bank and St Stephen's Basilica rises a few streets inland. Gellért Hill and its Citadella give the widest views.
