• 5Unforgettable walk through udaipur

  Our tour with Yogendra was one of the highlights of our trip to India. For the first time, we truly began to understand Hindu culture, the legacy of the Mughals, and the local customs and beliefs that shape everyday life in Udaipur. Yogendra led us away from the usual tourist spots and into quiet back alleys, where we saw the city’s authentic daily life up close. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories and explanations with warmth, patience, and genuine passion, always happy to answer our many questions. He also introduced us to delicious local food we would never have found on our own, which made the experience even more special. It felt less like a guided tour and more like being shown around by a knowledgeable local friend. If you want to see the real Udaipur and leave with a deeper understanding of its history and traditions, we can’t recommend Yogendra highly enough!

• 5Excellent solo guided walking tour

  Raj was a great tour guide. He provided insightful commentary on the city of Udaipur and specifically the history of the City Palace. He was patient with all my questions and provided detailed context in his answers. He also recommended a great breakfast place!! The tour was fully flexible in terms of pace, distance and coverage of the old city. Raj also helped with storing my luggage with a local shop so that I could walk around comfortably. Overall, I would strongly recommend this tour and Raj as a guide.

About Udaipur

Udaipur, the City of Lakes in Rajasthan, is a place of white palaces, island pavilions and hills, mirrored in Lake Pichola.

Maharana Udai Singh II founded Udaipur in the sixteenth century, and the City Palace, a cluster of courts and towers built over centuries, rises on the shore of Lake Pichola. Island palaces, Jag Mandir and the Lake Palace, sit in the water, and boats cross the lake at sunset. Jagdish Temple, a Hindu temple with a carved spire and steep steps, stands close to the palace in the old town.
