Each stop includes a guided tasting by a local supplier with behind the scenes tours at select locations. In addition to all the great local producers we visit, the tour also includes a relaxed lunch with a wine, craft beer or cider to allow guests to take in the Valley’s charm. Free pick ups are from accommodation in Lovedale, Pokolbin or Rothbury. Pick ups can be provided outside of these locations but charges may apply.

5Successful daytrip with great wines and sceneries
We had a superb day on this trip! Visited four boutique wineries, learned a lot about Hunter Valley and Australian wines, tasted local gin, as well as wine&chocolate pairings. Had pizza lunch with a beautiful view. Our guide, David, was punctual, well informed and had interesting stories about the area. We even saw some kangaroos in the wild! All in all, we can totally recommend this trip!
4A must try experience
Wine tastings took longer than expected. We thought we would travel to more venues than we did. However, we tasted s considerable amount of alcohol and were paired an awesome bunch of people.
5Hunter Valley Wine Tour
Amazing tour and wine tastings. Was picked up in Sydney CBD, and smooth drive to hunter valley region. We were able to go to 4 locations, all boutique wineries with multiple tastings at each location. Great value for money. Aiden at Oakvale, Declan at Mcaffreys, Nathan at Winelab, and Bimidgen for lunch, wine and gin tasting. Lunch was great - wood fire pizza overlooking the winery - a beautiful, picturesque location with kangaroos amongst the rows that we could watch and take photos. Our tour guide Dave was awesome, informative, and a lot of fun. He made the longer drive to the region enjoyable. Highly recommend!!
5Highly recommend. A step above the rest
Really great day touring the Hunter Valley. Wine, fine, stop for lunch - everything was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this tour!! Drew was a fanatic guide!
5Wine tasting with shuttle and guide
Great tour with Dave's Tours. Colin was our guide and he was very communicative and informative. Our group of 19 all got on well, so we had good fun in each of the wineries, learning about our travel mates and tasting wines, cheeses, chocolates, gins. The lunch offered plentiful pizza, salad, and wines. We were picked up around 10.30 (others had travelled from Sydney so a very early start for them), and we were dropped off first as we were local to Hunter Valley. Was a fun day and nice to be chauffeured around 👍.
5Great experience
Had an excellent time. Pick up was prompt and easy and bus was very comfortable. Dave was a great guide and very friendly and open. The group was great and despite a full bus, had plenty of room. All the wineries were great and lunch was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a day trip to Hunter Valley.

About Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley is a New South Wales wine region of vineyards, horse studs and low ranges, a couple of hours' drive north of Sydney.
The valley follows the Hunter River inland from Newcastle, with the main wine district around Pokolbin and the town of Cessnock at its gateway. Vines have grown here since the 1820s, which makes it one of Australia's oldest wine regions, and semillon whites and shiraz reds are its best-known bottles. Many cellar doors sit among gum trees and lawns, with long views across the rows.
