  I booked the ‘First Scuba Diving Experience’ with Tempo Divers for myself and my 18-year-old son. I learnt to dive over 25 years ago, but haven’t dived since. It was my son’s first dive. We had a brilliant experience with Claire and Phivi! The briefing was kept to the essentials, very professional yet full of humour. We felt very well looked after, including during the dive with Phivi, who guided us very professionally and patiently. It was a brilliant experience for both of us! And as my son now wants to learn to dive, there are more dives to come. Thank you, Claire and Phivi!

• 5Epic introduction into diving as a newbie

  Being my first dive I was very nervous. This quickly faded when I was met with the very welcoming phihi and her mum. First dive I was on my own and got one to one help and guidance. What an epic underwater adventure this was. Felt safe throughout and had good instruction to follow with reassuring reminders during the dive. Loved it that much I joined them again for a second dive the next day small group 2 other with is whom was lovely and encouraging also. We got to see lion fish, sea cucumber fireworms star fish across the sea bed. Was a highlight of the holiday and temp diving school made this such a great expereince thankyou giys and will be in touch next time I'm here as musan and is now on my bucket list too

• 5A great experience

  I wanted to try scuba diving, but had never done it before. Claire and Ivi were amazing. Claire ran through the watery instructions and kitted me out with a wet suit. Ivi was our dive instructor and was was great and took us one step at a time and constantly checked on us making sure we were ok and adjusting our equipment. I highly recommend this trip.

• 5Knowledgeable and safety- conscious instructors

  Fantastic, knowledgable and safety- conscious instructors who made our family of four feel so at ease. The whole experience was designed to make you feel comfortable and confident in exploring the waters of Cyprus. Claire and Phivi took the time to get to know us and adapted their teaching around individual need, making us all feel safe and able to relax and enjoy the dive. We loved it so much, we immediately booked another session for a new dive site. Highly recommended.

About Protaras

Protaras is a quieter neighbour of Ayia Napa on the east coast of Cyprus, known for sheltered Fig Tree Bay and a shore of small rocky coves.

Protaras grew up along the east coast of Cyprus, in the Famagusta District, a few kilometres north of Ayia Napa and within the municipality of Paralimni. Its main strip runs behind Fig Tree Bay, a curve of soft sand with shallow, clear water and a promenade of cafés. Pernera lies to the north, and Konnos Bay, a small cove between pine-covered cliffs, to the south.
