Mangrove Exploration: After a brief practice session, paddle through serene, mangrove-lined streams as you venture toward the lagoon. Turtle Watching: Reach the lagoon and where peaceful groups (bales) of sea turtles feed on the abundant sea grass. Continue paddling to spot more turtles in their natural habitat. Beach Break & Swimming: Enjoy a refreshing break on a secluded beach, with opportunities to swim directly from your kayak in the tranquil waters. Upolu is the main island of Samoa, a green volcanic island of waterfalls, a sea trench and white-sand beaches around the capital, Apia.

Upolu is the second-largest island of Samoa but home to most of its people, with the capital, Apia, on its north coast. A mountainous spine of forest runs along the island, falling to a coast of coral reefs, black-rock headlands and white-sand beaches. Robert Louis Stevenson spent his last years in a house on the slopes above Apia, now a museum, and is buried on the summit of Mount Vaea.
