The name recalls the myth of Pandora, as the place is hidden, mysterious and difficult to reach, just like a secret treasure to discover. The cave is only accessible by sea, which makes it a “niche” Attraction. Ideal for those looking for a more adventurous and authentic experience.

About Salerno

Salerno is a port city at the eastern end of the Amalfi Coast, with a Norman cathedral, a palm-lined seafront and a castle on the hill above.

Salerno curves around a gulf with a long palm-lined waterfront, the Lungomare, and a medieval centre of narrow lanes behind it. The cathedral, begun in the eleventh century under the Norman duke Robert Guiscard, has an arcaded atrium and a tall bell tower, and the city was home to the Schola Medica Salernitana, one of the earliest medical schools in Europe.
