After lunch, the journey turns inland to Gibberagee State Forest. Here, the terrain gets tougher—rutted tracks, creek crossings, and winding forest trails deliver a genuine 4WD challenge. You’ll return to Byron around 4 PM, with sand on your tyres, salt on your skin, and memories of a day spent exploring the region’s most spectacular hidden places.

At Airforce beach, Evans Head, you will experience your first taste of beach driving as we give you and your group complete instructions in 4wd vehicle operation.
Experience the thrill of driving along pristine, untouched stretches of sand in the Bunjalung National Park. Enjoy surfing on uncrowded waves before relaxing with a classic seafood beach BBQ.
After lunch, we’ll travel north to the Gibberagee State Forest. Challenge yourself with rugged 4WD tracks, creek crossings, and forest trails. Perfect for those who love adrenaline and nature combined.

About Byron Bay
Byron Bay is a relaxed coastal town in northern New South Wales, with surf beaches, a historic lighthouse and the easternmost point of mainland Australia.
Cape Byron, the easternmost point of mainland Australia, has a white lighthouse from 1901 and a walking track around the headland, where dolphins swim below and humpback whales pass offshore on their winter and spring migrations.
