1. Firstly we drive to Üçağız village to get the boat. Our boat is ready at the harbour. Üçağız is the gate of the Kekova region. Üçağız is 30kms away from Kaş and 60kms away from Kalkan.

2. Next, we stop at the Aquarium Bay for a swimming break. The water here is very clear like in an aquarium. You can see under of the sea. We offer Turkish tea at this bay.

3. Because of a big earthquake the city had sunken. By boat, we slowly pass the Sunken City. You will see a sunken house and cistern, stairs etc.

4. We stop at the Shipyard bay (Tersane koyu) for a swimming break. There are sunken ruins and you can swim over them.

5. Behind Aşırlı Island, there is a bay called Gökkaya. We stop for lunch and a swimming break. We offer an open-buffet lunch on the boat. You can taste 5 different Turkish local olive oil mezes made by the captain's wife. It is fresh and delicious. Also we offer barbecued chicken or fish (based on your choice).

6. On Aşırlı Island, a natural cave is composed. We see the cave named 'Pirate Cave' and stop there for taking pictures.

7. Opposite of Kekova island, there is another bay called Burç. We stop here for a swimming break.

8. We stop at the Island bay opposite Kekova island for a swimming break. You can enjoy fruits on the boat.

9. We turn back to the Üçağız village by boat and drive back to Kaş or Kalkan.

10. We stop at the Simena old town. Other name of Simena is Kaleköy (Castle village). We leave the boat and have 1 hour for visiting the village. You can go up the castle or walk around the village. Also you can swim here.

• 5Fantastic private boat...

  Fantastic private boat excursion! We were picked up with a private van at our house in Kas for about a 45 min transfer to the pier in Kekova. The boat was fantastic, large, clean. Nice father son duo that piloted it. Spoke great English. We were on the water from about 10am -5:50 pm and toured around the area, various swimming spots, a small climb up some stairs to this castle on an island. Overall very smooth, would recommend if you want a boat day that is more private than the usual tours. Lunch was fantastic. Some things to note: you do have to provide your own water, soft drinks and alcohol. Our driver stopped at a grocery store on the way. Perhaps would be nice to provide some water. You also need to provide your own towels. You do not actually snorkel on this trip, even at the forbidden city which is forbidden. They did have a few noodles for use in the water.

  One of the best things we did on our 3 month trip. The boat was great, the lunch and snacks were so delicious, the owners are very considerate and the stops were all amazing. A perfect day!

• 5The Highlight of our Holiday

  This was the highlight of our holiday. The boat passed close to several islands with Roman remains which the guide explained in English and Turkish. There were at least 4 stops for swimming in the crystal-clear water, half hour each, and a good lunch was provided on the boat. We also had an hour and a half to visit the village of Kale with delicious ice cream and orange juice. Bit of a tourist trap, but delightful all the same off peak-season.

• 5Fantastic day

  We have a fantastic day out in this boat. A series of stops at beautiful secluded locations for snorkelling and swimming. Lunch was very nice. Tea and coffee was served on several occasions along with melon slices. We all really enjoyed it. Very highly recommended.

About Kaş
