You'll visit Hwange National Park, which is one of the best places to see wildlife anywhere in southern Africa. It's a massive park with a good mix of quieter trails and excellent safari infrastructure. The eastern areas of the park became famous as the former home of Cecil the lion, and it remains a fantastic place to see predators, the Big Five, and lots of other wildlife. Hwange is in Zimbabwe's west, alongside the border with Botswana, and forms the eastern edge of the critically important Kavango–Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area that stretches across five countries. About Victoria Falls
In the Zimbabwean town of Victoria Falls, the Zambezi plunges into a narrow gorge in a roar of spray, mist and rainbows.
Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the Smoke That Thunders, the falls stretch for well over a kilometre across the Zambezi River, and the spray rises so high it can be seen from far away. Paths through the rainforest on the Zimbabwean side lead to viewpoints facing the Main Falls, the Devil's Cataract and Danger Point, with rainbows dancing in the mist.
