Mtskheta is an ancient city in Georgia, renowned for its historical and cultural significance. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was once the capital of the Kingdom of Iberia. Mtskheta is home to notable landmarks such as the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery, both key sites in Georgia's Christian history. The city’s well-preserved architecture and historical charm make it a vital destination for exploring Georgia's rich past and religious heritage.
At Jvari, we explore the iconic 6th-century monastery with panoramic views of Mtskheta and the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.
At Samtavro, we visit the historic 4th-century monastery and its ancient church, rich in Georgian Orthodox heritage and history.

About Tbilisi
Tbilisi, Georgia's capital, spills along a river gorge beneath a fortress, mixing balconied old houses, sulphur baths and bold modern landmarks.
The old town gathers along the Mtkvari River, its narrow streets lined with carved wooden balconies, churches and wine bars. Abanotubani, the bath district, is crowned by brick domes over sulphur springs, and the walls of Narikala Fortress overlook it all, reached by cable car or a steep walk. The Mother of Georgia statue stands on the ridge holding a sword and a bowl of wine.
Top-ranked sights in Tbilisi: Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress, Tbilisi Old Town (Dzveli Tbilisi).
