5Beyond the museum
Our guide Javier was extremely knowledgeable about the museum as well as the city. We enjoyed this face paced 2 1/2 hour tour of the museum.
5Don’t miss this tour!
The museum is beautiful and should not be missed. Our guide, Belen, made us an excellent tour. The Serra sculpture was super cool. The guide also had very handy audio equipment so everyone could hear.
5Guggenheim Tour with Javier
Javier took us on a very informative small group tour of the Guggenheim Museum, imparting extensive knowlege of the art installations, and as a born and bred local he also gave us much insight into the history of/ and life in Bilbao. His bubbly, caring character made the tour additionally enjoyable.
4Bucket list activity - Guggenheim Bilboa
Informative about the sculptures, the architecture and key pieces of art inside. The tour was on the long side, nearly 3 hours which was a little too long for us to be standing. Very friendly tour guide, Jave is the best way to see the museum to get the full experience.

About Bilbao
Bilbao is a Basque city on the Nervión River, a former industrial port reborn around a titanium-clad art museum and an old quarter of pintxo bars.
Bilbao grew rich on iron ore and shipbuilding, and its industrial riverside has been turned to culture. The Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry and covered in titanium, curves beside the river, with a giant flower-covered dog and a spider sculpture outside.
