And how it influenced the Merseybeat sound that became synonymous with the city. We arrive at the giant Beatles statue in the shadow of three buildings that personify Liverpool and its heritage. Another fantastic photo stop before we end the tour, and we will escort you back to where you need to be.

About Liverpool

Liverpool is a maritime city on the River Mersey in north-west England, known for its docks, two cathedrals and as the birthplace of the Beatles.

Liverpool grew into a major world port in the 18th and 19th centuries, and the Pier Head still shows it: the Royal Liver Building and its two neighbours, together called the Three Graces, stand side by side above the Mersey.
