3. Founded in 1957, the National Museum of Ghana is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. The museum has three primary collection areas; archaeology, ethnography, and art, which are used to weave together a story about Ghana's rich cultural history. Objects range in age from the Stone Age to the recent past, and include indigenous Ghanaian musical instruments, beads, traditional textiles, furniture and pottery.

About Accra
