2. First visiting the old town of Stobi. Stobi or Stoboi (Ancient Greek: Στόβοι; Latin: Stobi; Macedonian: Стоби), was an ancient town of Paeonia, later conquered by Macedon, and finally turned into the capital of the Roman province of Macedonia Salutaris. It is located near Gradsko, North Macedonia, on the main road that leads from the Danube to the Aegean Sea and is considered by many to be the most famous archaeological site in North Macedonia. Stobi was built where the Erigon (Crna River) joins the Axios (Vardar), making it strategically important as a center for both trade and warfare.After that going to Stobi Winery.

About Skopje

Skopje is the capital of North Macedonia, a Balkan city on the Vardar River with an Ottoman bazaar, a stone bridge and many statues.

Skopje straddles the Vardar River in a wide valley, its two halves joined by the fifteenth-century Stone Bridge. On the north bank the Old Bazaar is a web of lanes lined with workshops, cafés and mosques, with the Kale fortress above it. On the south bank, Macedonia Square is dominated by a giant statue of a horseman, popularly taken for Alexander the Great, amid the monuments, bridges and neoclassical façades added in the early 2010s. An earthquake in 1963 destroyed much of the city.
