5Proserpine River Croc safari
Thanks again to stewie and Ian! The Gents have looked after us very well, explained the wildlife and Nature sorounding us and were just lovely in general! Me and my Partner have lived in the area for around five years already and never did the tour till today. We would recommend the tour for anyone new to the area but also locals! Very informative and of course there was heaps to see for us here. From tiny to massive 4 metre crocs to wallabies, other lizards and beautiful birds! Very worth the money! I want to go again!! Cheers! Rodney the Rooster was also a great Host at the campsite!
5Highly recommend the Whitsunday Crocodile Safari
The Whitsunday Crocodile Safari was fabulous. We were picked up by the bus (and taken home) which made things easy. We saw numerous crocodiles really close up - from little hatchlings to the huge Lenny (750kg of croc basking on the bank). Stu's commentary on the 2 hour boat trip was knowledgeable and informative. He clearly respects and really likes his crocs, knowing them by name. The time on the Proserpine River flew by. Lunch under the huge canopy was incredible - beautifully cooked, with something for everyone. The 'wagon train' tour with Steve was also good. We were lucky enough to see two brolgas dancing, wallabies with joeys, kites overhead, as well as many other birds. Learning about the volcanic landscape was genuinely interesting. Billy tea and real freshly-cooked damper in the afternoon were a real stand-out of the day. Highly recommended.
5A cool day to do something different
Fab day something a little different . The team were fab, good bush knowledge and good sense of humour. The day ran smoothly and all well catered for. The cleanest bush experience, sanitising equiptment, very clean plates and cutlery, mozzy sprays, water taos and clean dunny, a comfy day finding crocs in tbe wild.
5Such a great time!...
Such a great time! interactive and friendly, very informative and more than just about the crocs. The wetlands tractor ride was wonderful and got to see almost every stage of life on the river Saw baby's, yearlings and the big daddy croc Great food too 😋
5Stu and Jesse atr very...
Stu and Jesse atr very knowledgeable. You get very close to the crocodiles in their own environment. The day was wonderful.
5Fantastic. Worth every cent.
Amazing tour with Stu and Jesse. SO knowledgeable. Stu on the river. Jessie in the wetlands. Saw a lot of BIG crocs and learned so much. Lunch was awesome. Tons of BBQ meat & salads. Afternoon tea of fresh cooked damper & Billy tea. Damper was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended. Professional friendly and I formative crew.
Airlie Beach is a small seaside town on the Queensland coast and the mainland base for the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.
The town sits on a sheltered bay of the Coral Sea in central Queensland, with a saltwater lagoon on the foreshore, a marina, and a main street of cafés and dive shops. Just offshore lie the Whitsunday Islands, a scatter of more than seventy forested islands set in calm turquoise water, and sailing boats of every size leave its harbours to cruise among them.
Top-ranked sights in Airlie Beach: Coral Sea Marina, Conway National Park.
