Discover the UNESCO World Heritage treasures of Arles, from its Roman and medieval monuments to the streets that inspired Vincent Van Gogh. What makes this tour truly special is the personal touch: we keep groups small—just 8 participants—for a relaxed, slow-paced experience where you can ask questions, dive into history, and enjoy plenty of insider tips. As a small company run by just the two of us, we personally guide every tour, taking care of every detail and sharing our passion, knowledge, and stories with each guest. With over 11 years of experience, we ensure every stop is engaging, informative, and tailored to your interests. Travel in comfort in our modern, air-conditioned vans, making your journey through the beautiful Provence countryside as enjoyable as the destinations themselves. This is more than a tour—it’s a personalized, memorable experience that lets you connect with the region, its history, and its art in a way few tours can match.
After a short drive from Avignon and your tour guide's commentary along the way, experience the peaceful surroundings of St Paul de Mausole's asylum, where the Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh created masterpieces like "The Starry Night" or "Irises". Don't miss the remains of the former Roman town of Glanum that are to be admired just across the street. Please note that the hospital is still in use today. Visiting the replica of Van Gogh’s room is not included in this tour. There is either no time or very limited time available to see it, so the focus will be on the exteriors and the final part of the St Remy Van Gogh Walk, where boards represent some of the artist’s most famous works.
Embark on a scenic drive through rolling vineyards and fragrant olive groves to reach Les Baux de Provence, a sparkling jewel in the heart of the Alpilles massif. Your tour guide will drop you at the entrance of this enchanting pedestrian village, where every winding street and sun-drenched terrace offers breathtaking views. Perched like an eagle’s nest on a rocky plateau overlooking the vast Camargue, Les Baux is much more than a medieval fortress—it’s a place to wander, explore charming shops, discover local crafts, and soak up the timeless Provençal atmosphere.
Meet your driver and head to Arles, the vibrant and historic heart of the Camargue. Your tour guide will provide maps and insights to help you make the most of your visit. Enjoy a long stop to wander through Arles’ captivating streets, explore its remarkable UNESCO-listed monuments, and follow in Van Gogh’s footsteps, all while soaking up the town’s unique charm and rich history.

4Nice trip into countryside.
Very nice tour guide, safe driver. I was expecting a little more in depth information about Van Gogh, nothing I had not heard before. Trip of Remy and psychiatric hospital highlight of trip to see the room lwhere Van Gogh stayed and the view from his room. Quite a bit of info here about the painter. The olive fields where he painted. Trip,to Arles a little light on with Van Gogh info but not surprising as this was the town that had petition to remove him from town. However, did see the river from which he sat on bank and painted Starry Night, a big expanse of sky here.
5Perfect afternoon
Nico did an amazing job getting us to Les Baux and Arles giving us plenty of tips and maximum time for both. Plus a superb stop at the hospital where Van Gogh stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon.
5Long day, but well worth it
We enjoyed the entire experience. Being Van Gogh enthusiasts, we enjoyed St. Remy. Other sites visited, including Les Baux-de-Provence, the Roman Colosseum and ampitheatre in Arles, and the Roman Aquaduct were also stunning and well worth the time. Long day, but we would highly recommend. Our Tour guide, Nikolas, was knowledgeable, personable, and very informative.
5Wonderful small group experience.
Wonderful small group experience. The owners are the tour guides so they really care that you get a great experience. Arles was so interesting and the restaurant recommendation from our guide was terrific. There was plentyof time to exploreat each stop. I highly recommended this tour.
5Wonderful trip with an interesting mix of Van Gogh and Roman sites.
Interesting and fun day! Enjoyed the background and education during the rides, and the free time to explore the sites. Veronica provides lots of interesting details and pointed us to many sites. Variety of locations - scenic towns, larger cities, and of course the asylum and its surroundings.
5towns around Avignon
Veronica was an excellent guide and we had the perfect day for a tour around some of the outside locales near Avignon. Everything ran smoothly and we met some great people and really enjoyed day. Highly recommended
Avignon is a walled Rhône city where the popes lived in the fourteenth century, known for its vast palace, a broken bridge and a summer theatre festival.
From 1309 to 1377 the popes governed the Catholic Church from Avignon, and the Palais des Papes, a huge Gothic fortress of pale stone, still rises above the old town. Medieval ramparts more than four kilometres long surround the centre. The Pont Saint-Bénézet, the Pont d'Avignon of the nursery song, stops halfway across the Rhône, with only four of its arches left.
Top-ranked sights in Avignon: Roussillon, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Pont du Gard.
