Otopeni is a town just north of Bucharest, home to Romania's main international airport, on the plain near lakes, monasteries and palace gardens.
Otopeni lies on the plain in Ilfov County, a short distance north of Bucharest, and is best known as the site of Henri Coandă International Airport, Romania's main airport. The town itself is mostly residential and commercial, set between the city and the lakes and forests to the north.
