Rute
We’ll meet about 15 minutes before departure at Sonnenstrasse 1, 80331 Munich. There you’ll find a tour bus marked “Mentor Reisen,” and our friendly driver and guide will welcome you as you check in. We’ll drive past several Munich landmarks (which the guide will explain) on our way to the village of Hohenschwangau.
On the route we drive through the artists’ village Oberammergau. It is known for its facade painting (known as Lüftl-Malerei) and woodcarving. The Passion Plays, which take place there every 10 years, have also become world-famous. They depict the last week of Jesus’ life, from Palm Sunday to Easter. You’ll take a tour of the town by coach, as this allows you to see much more than a brief stop would.
At the village of Hohenschwangau the guide will pick up (skip-the-line) tickets for the tour of Neuschwanstein Castle. Afterward, you’ll have free time to have lunch at one of the many restaurants, take a walk to Hohenschwangau Castle, or stroll along the Alpsee. And you can make your way to the Marienbridge (depending on the weather) You can reach Neuschwanstein Castle on foot (about a 30-40 minute uphill walk), by shuttle bus/by horse-drawn carriage for a fee. Your guide will provide you with the exact details.
After a ride of just under two hours in the comfortable coach, you’ll arrive back in downtown Munich and get off at the meeting point.

About Munich
Munich is the Bavarian capital, with a rebuilt old town, beer gardens, royal palaces and the Alps visible on clear days to the south.
Marienplatz, the main square, is overlooked by the neo-Gothic New Town Hall, whose Glockenspiel chimes with mechanical figures, and by the twin onion-domed towers of the Frauenkirche. The Viktualienmarkt close by is a food market with a beer garden. The Residenz, the former home of Bavaria's rulers, has lavish halls and a treasury, and Nymphenburg Palace stands in a park to the west.
Top-ranked sights in Munich: Neuschwanstein Castle, Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz.
