Højdepunkter

Embark on an exclusive 2-hour guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica—a journey through centuries of art, faith, and history. Begin in the awe-inspiring St. Peter’s Square, where Bernini’s masterful design, with its embracing colonnades and central obelisk, sets the stage for an immersive experience. Transition from the vibrant public space into the sacred interior, as your licensed guide unveils the basilica’s layered history—from its Renaissance rebirth to Baroque embellishments. Marvel at Bernini’s Baldacchino, a monumental bronze canopy that crowns the high altar with twisting columns and intricate reliefs, symbolizing divine aspiration and papal authority. Next, experience the poignant beauty of Michelangelo’s Pietà, a masterful marble sculpture capturing the deep compassion of the Virgin Mary and the serene acceptance of loss with unrivaled technical finesse.

About Rom

Top-ranked sights in Rom: Colosseum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel.
